Annual Camellia and Spring Flower Show

Each September the Society holds our Camellia Show and Spring Flower Show. Both members of the Society and members of the public are encouraged to participate both in showing their blooms or displaying their floral arrangements. Professional judges are invited to judge the exhibits

 and prizes are awarded. The public is invited to view the blooms and floral arrangements. These photographs were taken at recent Shows:

Annual Rose Show

Held each November, the annual Rose Show givers both members of the Society and member of the public the opportunity to display their rose blooms and floral art arrangements. Biannual Winter Seminar

Held every second year, the Winter Seminar draws on the expertise of respected and inspiring speakers. The 2018 Winter Seminar featured Costa Georgiadis, host of ABC TV’s Gardening Australia, well- known for his enthusiastic and innovative restoration of urban landscapes and Stuart Read, a Heritage Officer & Landscape Specialist at the Office of Environment & Heritage, NSW Dept. of Planning &; Environment. The 2016 Seminar featured Michael Bligh, well known Architect & Garden Designer and Roger Mann, author of “Naming that Rose”. Winter Seminars are open to both members of the Society and the public.

Summer Garden Evening

The Summer Garden Evening is an event for members of the Society. It is held on the third Saturday of February at the home of one of our members. It is a great opportunity to welcome in the new garden year and to meet new members. Some photographs taken at recent Summer Garden Evenings.

Floral Art Workshops

A floral art group exists to encourage the development of expertise in floral art in the Southern Highlands. Floral Art workshops are typically held on the third Wednesday of each month in at Annesley- 10 Westwood Drive Bowral – 9.30 for 10.00 am till noon. Members of the Society presented floral art displays at Monthly Meetings, at the Camellia & Spring Flower Show and the Rose Show.
